Sadly mum is at a more advanced stage now and resistant with a lot of personal care; time taken by staff to address this on her terms, with tact and sensitivity, is greatly appreciated. I used to get cross with American films which showed people with dementia beautifully groomed and perfectly dressed (EG The Notebook) in contrast to what I saw in real care homes.
